Every Monday we highlight four great releases from our artist or label roster, this week:

Swanky Tunes feat. Raign – Fix Me [Flamingo records]

An effective combination of retro electro and modern pop sensibilities. Swanky Tunes have honed their ability to craft big room progressive house. Raign’s vocals dominate the track just enough before letting up for the chorus, her approach lends itself well to the progressive genre.

Stephane Pompougnac – My Girl [SPP]

A sense of fun presides over the tech house backbone of “My Girl”. The track has an understated bounce that underscores the multi layered structure, keeping the momentum beneath three separate vocal samples. There are multiple elements at work here and Stephane Pompougnac steadily introduces them as the track progresses, resulting in an effective build up and a satisfying release.

Tradelove – Whoomp! [Loudbit records]

Using a classic early 90s vocal sample Tradelove has crafted another popular release. “Whoomp!” quickly made its way into the Beatport top ten. The sample choice is nostalgic but the remainder of the track is built for a modern audience. These two factors ensure that “Whoomp!” is well received on the dance floor.

Hoxton Whores & ERaze feat Ella – Break 4 Love (Him&Hurr Retake) [Whore House Records]

A modern update of the 1988 classic house track. Taking away the laid back approach the original is known for and tuning it up for the newer generation. The sped up pace and borderline balearic aesthetic make it a strong choice for summertime sets.

Purchase via Beatport.
